Perdaman - Creating a cleaner and greener future

GAS

In November 2018 Perdaman signed a 20-year gas supply and purchase agreement with Woodside. This was been pivotal in ensuring Project Destiny proceeds as it provides the primary input into the urea production process.

POWER

Project Destiny will generate approximately 100MW of power as part of its design. This will be sufficient power to not only run the Project, but also provide opportunities to support other infrastructure and manufacturing projects in the region.

LAND

Perdaman will construct the Project at the Burrup Strategic Industrial Area, west of City of Karratha. The site is currently managed by Landcorp and will be leased to Perdaman over the life of the Project.

In addition, Perdaman will lease part of the Burrup Common User Service Corridor during the Project’s life. This will ensure seamless connection and transportation of urea from the Plant to the Port for export.

WATER

Perdaman and Water Corporation are currently working together to ensure the Project is adequately supplier with water during construction and operations. The Project will gain direct access to the common-user seawater pipeline for water supply and brine discharge.

In addition, Perdaman are working with Water Corporation on the expansion of the Dampier water supply facility to ensure water supply to both Project Destiny and other future projects in the Burrup Strategic Infrastructure Area are met.

PORT

Perdaman is working with the Pilbara Ports Authority to undertake capacity upgrade to facilitate the Project at the Port of Dampier. This will include an expanded berth to accommodation Panamax side vessels required to export the product. In addition, Perdaman will be allocated portside land for urea storage.

LABOUR

A total of 200 permanent staff from the region of Karratha will be operating the plant on a non-fifo basis.
